ISURI S. RAMOS FOR SANTA ANA CITY COUNCIL WARD 6

An experienced community leader fighting for immigrant communities, affordable housing, good jobs, and effective city services.

Meet Isuri S. Ramos

Isuri S. Ramos is the Chair of the Santa Ana Planning Commission and a long-time advocate for tenants, affordable housing, and Santa Ana’s lifelong residents. Born and raised in Santa Ana, she is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants who first laid roots in the City on Minnie Street. Since childhood, Isuri has had a passion for public service, which is why after graduating from UC San Diego, she joined a local nonprofit and began organizing with tenants in Ward 6’s Lacy Neighborhood to fight for better living conditions, affordable rents, and park space for children in the neighborhood.

Isuri’s experiences as a resident of our City whose family faced housing injustice, and as an advocate for her community instilled in her a deep understanding of the challenges all Santa Ana residents face day in and day out. That’s why, as Chair of the Planning Commission and in her previous role as a Housing Commissioner in Santa Ana, she has championed deep affordable housing, union labor, and environmental justice. Isuri has been fighting for her community since she was a youth and her track record shows she delivers results.

Now, Isuri is running for City Council to continue fighting for everyday families who call Santa Ana home and who need a neighbor in City Hall that will fight for them every day.

El mayor orgullo de todo padre es ver a sus hijos crecer con valores, honrar sus raíces y dedicarse a servir su comunidad. Isuri es ese ejemplo y orgullo hecho realidad.”

“The greatest pride of all parents is to see their children grow up with strong values, honor their roots and dedicate themselves to serving their community. Isuri is that example and pride made real.”

Idalia Rios,
Lacy Neighborhood Leader
